But someone told me never to use it and that it irritates your skin

it dries your skin out very bad on your face. it's best to use something made for face and leave it at that. good luck.
yes mam....for some reason soap irrates the skin causing drying and tightening. Don't use soap try a face wash with salyic acid....its medicated and keeps the skin nice and beautiful
